A designer's Journey
Murphy Maude Interiors was founded by Leslie Murphy, owner and creative director, whose path to design was anything but ordinary. An Alabama native with a lifelong love of art, Leslie spent years in academia — including time in New York working for Columbia University, where life in the Chelsea Arts District sparked a fascination with art and design that would reshape her life's work.
What began as a one-woman art, staging, and decorating practice has grown into a full-service interior architecture and design firm — a talented, predominantly female team trained across architecture, interior design, art, and graphic design. Today, Murphy Maude is a nationally and internationally published firm, with sister companies Mable Originals (bespoke textiles, wallpaper, and art) and M2 Designer Cabinetry (custom cabinetry) allowing every interior to be curated and crafted with rare cohesion.
